“In my clinic, I do not see Mothers who have failed or who are not trying hard enough. What I do see every day are Mothers who are under-supported, physically and emotionally depleted, exhausted and stressed. They are at the end of their tether, with no relief in sight.”

~ Dr Oscar Serrallach

The demands of Motherhood are higher than ever ...

Before becoming Mothers, many women are already living at their limits. Fast-paced work, emotional load, mental load, and the constant drive to “hold everything together” can leave the nervous system in a heightened state long before pregnancy even begins.

Conception and pregnancy then draw deeply on physical, emotional and mineral reserves. Birth is not the finish line. It is the threshold of a profound, long-term transformation that most women are not prepared for.

Mothers were never meant to do this alone. Shared caregiving, rest, nourishment, and intergenerational support were once built into daily life. Today, mothers face high expectations with far less community support. This gap, combined with biological depletion, leaves many mothers feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or like they are not coping.

A mother’s nervous system is not designed to hold this level of constant stress.

This is not a personal failing. It is a mismatch between what your biology needs and the modern world you are trying to mother in.

What mothers need is not more pressure. They need new knowledge, new practices, and new forms of support that honour the nervous system as the foundation of wellbeing. When the nervous system is supported, everything else becomes more possible: presence, connection, vitality, patience, creativity, and love.

You do not need to be more—you need to be supported differently.

Does any of this feel familiar?

  • Since becoming a mother, I have been experiencing brain fog, anxiety, weight changes, and exhaustion. My body and mind feel different, and I don’t feel like myself.

  • I have seen my GP, but the support offered feels limited. I have even been told it is “just part of being a mother,” which makes me feel unseen and dismissed.

  • Some days I worry that I might be depressed because I feel so low. I am not convinced medication is the whole answer. I know something deeper is happening in my body.

  • My sensitivity is so much higher now. Noise, mess, bright lights, constant stimulation. It feels like my nervous system is always switched on and there is no off switch.

  • I live in a constant state of overwhelm. The smallest things tip me over the edge, even when I know it is not my fault.

  • Even when I do sleep,  I still wake up exhausted. Rest does not restore me the way it used to.

  • Self care feels impossible. Even basic needs like eating slowly, going to the toilet alone, or taking a breath feel out of reach.

  • I avoid going out or making plans because I do not have the energy or confidence I used to. I feel anxious in situations that never used to bother me.

  • I am more irritable or reactive than I want to be. I can feel rage rise in me and I hate it. This does not feel like the person I once was.

  • I forget things constantly. Managing the mental load feels like balancing twenty open tabs in my mind with no ability to close any of them.

  • I wish there was one reliable and trustworthy place where I could learn how to care for my body, mind, and nervous system during motherhood.

  • I want to feel more joy, more connection, more presence in motherhood. Instead, I feel stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure how to shift out of this state.

By the end of this program, you will:

✔️ Feel more grounded, calm, and supported — with a steadier nervous system and simple daily tools to regulate stress and emotions.

✔️ Experience clearer thinking and less brain fog, as you learn how nutrition, rest, and supplementation support the maternal brain.

✔️ Sleep more restoratively, even when nights are interrupted — through nervous system care, rhythm-building, and recovery practices.

✔️ Understand the process of Matrescence — the transformation of becoming a mother — and how to navigate its physical, emotional, and spiritual shifts with compassion.

✔️ Be confident in supporting your own health and wellbeing, using practical frameworks for energy, hormonal balance, and mood.

✔️ Feel part of a genuine community of mothers who listen without judgment, helping you move from isolation and overwhelm to connection and replenishment.

 Starts 26th January '26
across 2 x ten-week term blocks:

1 —
26th January - 30th March

(break 3rd - 19th April)

2 —  20th April - 22nd June

You will learn from the groundbreaking research and clinical work of Dr Oscar Serrallach, Medical Specialist in Maternal Wellbeing and Author of The Postnatal Depletion Cure. Oscar has spent over fifteen years researching maternal biology, the maternal brain, hormones, micronutrient depletion, and the nervous system changes that occur for women in Motherhood.

The learning is structured into 6 modules (see below) based on the same information Dr Oscar shares with Mothers in his clinic. It is delivered as manageable bite-sized audio recordings that we have formatted with busy Mothers in mind.  Think of it like your favourite podcast: simple, relatable and easy to listen to while driving, breastfeeding, cooking, walking, or resting.

The information is not overwhelming or overly-academic. It is practical, compassionate and life changing knowledge that helps you understand your body, your brain, your emotions, and your capacity in a completely new way.

This is the education every mother should have received.

This program gives you practical, realistic support for your nervous system and day-to-day wellbeing. You will receive guided regulation practices, gentle lifestyle adjustments, and weekly check-ins that meet you exactly where you are in your motherhood journey.

These are not time-consuming or unrealistic “self-care routines.”  They are small, doable, nervous-system-friendly shifts that create real change over time.
You will learn how to calm your system, restore your energy, rebuild your confidence, and reconnect with yourself.

Support here is not about perfection—it is about being held, understood, and guided as you learn about life after Motherhood and how to live in your own body with more ease.

Be welcomed into the Mothers Online Village and start connecting with other Mothers who are walking this same path as you, in a supportive, safe and non-judgemental space.

While obviously not mandatory, we do believe that belonging to a community is a vital part of the program, and we encourage everyone to show up authentically when they can.

Many Mothers face isolation and loneliness, often feeling disconnected from the world and longing for genuine conversations with other Mothers who truly understand.

Sharing our personal experiences in a safe and compassionate space helps regulate the nervous system by transforming isolation into connection — allowing the body to release held stress, feel seen, and return to a sense of safety and belonging.

With gentle guidance from Caroline and Steph, we establish a culture that is inspired by the maternal values of  kindness, empathy, honesty and non-judgement, where Mothers can feel safe and held. Our online village (via Facebook) offers the crucial community aspect that is essential for Mothers' wellbeing.

This is the return of the village: a shared space for honesty, encouragement, gentle accountability and genuine connection.

Meet Dr Oscar Serrallach

"The wellbeing of mothers has been overlooked for too long.
The change begins here—in the lives of mothers today."

Published by Goop in 2018, Dr Oscar’s groundbreaking book The Postnatal Depletion Cure was among the first to explore the unique biology and hormonal changes women experience after birth — and the profound impact pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding can have on a Mother’s wellbeing, especially when she enters Motherhood already depleted.

As a medical doctor specialising in postpartum wellbeing, Dr Oscar trains maternal health practitioners worldwide to look beyond symptoms and address the root causes of postpartum health challenges.

Meet Caroline Cowley

The heart and Co-Founder of The MotherCare Project

Caroline’s own journey through Matrescence has been central to the evolution of Dr Oscar Serrallach’s work. As Oscar’s partner and a mother of three, she has lived the research from the inside out. Over the years, she has supported many mothers in their return to wellness and has facilitated multiple Mothermorphosis groups. Caroline is deeply committed to walking alongside mothers at every stage of their transformation. Her care is steady, genuine, and heart-led. She also brings her background as a singer and yoga teacher, creating gentle rituals, women’s circles, and spaces of connection that help mothers feel seen, supported, and renewed.

Caroline co-hosts the weekly live Mothermorphosis sessions, offering steady guidance and a warm, supportive presence. She has also curated the Wellness Library inside the program, drawing on many years of facilitating women’s circles, community wellness programs, and motherhood support in the Byron Bay region. Her approach is grounded, practical, and deeply compassionate — meeting each mother exactly where she is.

Meet Stephanie Greenshields

Maternal Health Professional

As mum to three young children, Steph is a Mothermorphosis Alumni, and has been supported in her postpartum journey for the last several years by Dr Oscar and Caroline. She is a Registered Nurse with a graduate certificate in Paediatrics, has completed Matriatrics training with Dr Oscar, and Motherhood Studies Practitioner certification with Dr Sophie Brock. Steph is super passionate about supporting, educating and holding space for other Mothers in their postpartum journey.
