Dr Oscar's Insights into the Personality Traits of Women's Hormones
On-Demand Masterclass for Maternal Health Professionals
Understand the hormonal shifts of Motherhood - through a whole new lens.
Access NowHormones are complex—but understanding them is essential to truly supporting maternal wellbeing.
As a doctor working with women every day, I know how daunting it can be to fully grasp the hormonal shifts that occur as women become Mothers.
After years in clinical practice, I’ve come to recognise that each hormone has its own personality—with distinct traits, roles, behaviours, and even shadow sides. Especially in the postpartum period, these “personalities” influence how a Mother feels, functions, and adapts.
When you observe how these hormones interact, it’s not unlike a corporate boardroom—some lead, some support, and some clash when out of balance. This analogy helps us better understand the chain of command and makes these intricate systems far more memorable.
This evidence-informed session is ideal for practitioners supporting Mothers - whether your focus is physical, mental, nutritional, or integrative care.
In this 60-minute training you'll learn how to:

1. Explain the interactions between the HPT, HPA, and HPO axes and their influence on postpartum hormonal regulation.

2. Understand the role of thyroid and adrenal health in maternal mood, metabolism, and recovery

3. Evaluate hormonal changes across the reproductive lifespan and their impact on maternal wellbeing.
